Dear Newman Student,
Just a quick reminder that your student email service will be transitioning from Gmail to Microsoft Outlook on June 11! This upgrade is part of our ongoing efforts to provide you with a more efficient and integrated communication platform here at the university.
By moving to Outlook, you will benefit from:
Integration with Newman faculty and email system (calendars, addresses, etc),
Enhanced storage capacity,
Improved security features,
Free use of many Office 365 products,
Seamless integration with other Microsoft tools such as OneDrive and Teams,
and standardization with best practices for Higher Education.
This upgrade will allow you to communicate more effectively with your professors, classmates, and other university staff members.
Starting on June 4th, all your new emails will go to your Outlook account. Access to your old emails, calendars, Google docs, etc will continue for the entirety of your time at Newman plus for two years after your graduation or departure from the university.
What You Need To Do:
Reminder: There will be NO change to your email address when your account moves to Outlook.
If you have any questions or concerns about the upcoming switch to Outlook, please do not hesitate to contact our support team at the IT Help Desk (316-942-4291 Ext 2222). We are here to help make this transition as smooth and seamless as possible for all of our students.
Best regards,
Ice Vaughan
