To take courses at Newman, you will need the following technology and skills:

Modern PC or Mac (desktop or laptop) with high-speed Internet.
Webcam and microphone capable of video-conferencing.
(Most courses using online exams will require a webcam and microphone.)
Download the: Zoom Client for Meetings https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting and Teams Client for Meetings https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app.
Browsers: Google Chrome is preferred, Microsoft Edge, Safari, or Firefox are also OK. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Additional software or equipment may be required by your instructor. These will be specified when you enroll.
Android and iOS devices along with Chromebooks can be used in Canvas. Microsoft Office Suite of desktop applications are not available for Chromebook or Windows S Mode devices.
Windows 10 goes end-of-support on October 14, 2025.
Please note that Windows devices powered by Snapdragon X ARM architecture processers are not supported by Papercut for printing from your own device.
